I created this whale painting piece a few years ago using textured acrylics on A4 canvas board, building up layers to bring the sea to life. The deep, inky blues and swirling strokes are full of force and fluidity, a contrast to the weathered calm grey tones of the whale as it rises above the surface. It’s a reminder of resilience, of coming up for air, of taking up space with quiet power.
