Hi! I'm Jade and with a background in Psychology, a lifetime of creative practice and a focus on designing always with the end user in mind, I help build the operational structures and strategies that allow businesses to thrive.
I’ve spent my life fascinated by the how and why behind human action. Today, I formalise that obsession through UX Design, ensuring that every touchpoint in your business is intuitive, meaningful, and seamless.

A Little About Me
Originally born in London, I spent my formative years on the South Coast before moving to the Essex/Cambridgeshire border. It’s likely that those years by the sea, combined with my Irish and Caribbean heritage, cultivated my lifelong fascination with the play of light, seascapes, and the energy of the sun - elements that regularly find their way onto my canvases today (more about my art practice below!). When I’m not working or painting though, I’m usually leaning into two other great loves: Stories and Connection.
I am a perpetual student and a chronic multi-reader; you’ll typically find me with a physical book, a Kindle, and an audiobook on the go simultaneously and I love a deep fantasy book as much as think-tank piece that makes me ponder on all of life's big questions!
Most importantly, I believe the best parts of life happen around a table. My social connections are built around sharing food and drink, whether hosting a long dinner at home or out sampling what our local community has to offer. For me, whether I’m designing a business or hosting a meal, it’s all about creating an environment where people feel seen, nourished, and inspired.

Real Life Business Experience
Before Alma Cara Studio, I spent seven years building Bitesize Bakehouse from a kitchen-table experiment into an award-winning brand. From securing a Great Taste Award to navigating TV appearances and corporate collaborations, I did it all-the strategy, the digital launches, the operational logistics, and the "messy middle."
What started as a love letter to baking became my real-world masterclass in Business UX. Along the way, I realised my true "spark" wasn't just in the product itself, but in the architecture behind it.

The Art Behind The Architecture
My art practice is inspired by the natural world and the emotional response that colour and form can evoke.
From bold, expressive paintings to more considered, textural pieces, I create contemporary art designed to capture and hold a feeling long after the moment has passed. I am particularly drawn to the "in-between" spaces—the shift of light at dusk, the movement of a shoreline, or the quiet energy of a changing season.
Each piece is created with care and intention, balancing spontaneous movement with a slow, considered process. Whether through original artworks or small-batch limited edition prints, my aim is to help you find a piece that resonates with your own story, lifts your space, and brings a sense of calm and personality into your home.
